About Us
Our purpose is to offer the most appropriate settings and most effective service providers to children, their families and their communities. We take part in a mutual effort assisting those in need to overcome social and economic barriers, to capitalize on their personal strengths, and to contribute to their own healing. Our approach is eclectic and is founded on the premise of “unconditional” care. Wolverine’s continuum of services and effective network of referral sources provide a responsive and cost-effective system accessible at the community level.
We continue to use new treatment approaches, to reach out and collaborate with other services providers, and to utilize input from our many clients, constituents, funders, and supporters.
Wolverine is a great place to work. There are opportunities to grow and so much to learn however, it can be difficult to balance work life and personal life due to having many emergencies, unexpected events and extensive traveling at great distances throughout the day. There are staff that will help support with managing the day due to the job being very challenging. There could be days that you might not make it home until 10 PM or 11 PM at night due to many urgent appointments and deadlines however, Wolverine will try to compensate your time by allowing you to come into the office at a later time the next day, if you do not have any other scheduled appointments that can't be missed. I've learned a great deal with Wolverine Human Services such as time management skills, thinking outside the box and fast thinking in emergency situations. Problem solving skills are exercised daily due to many urgent matters.
This is a great company to work for. I felt valued as an employee and that my supervisor listened and valued my feedback. My coworkers were amazing and everyone was on the same page.
