“Went here for the first time today and met ‘Steve’ of Steve's Barber Shop - Steve (Steven Vetarbo) has been at this same location for over 25 years, and I know he's not getting walk-ins on this part of Mack Avenue, so it's all his loyal customers and word-of-mouth referrals for his new customers (like myself). Now, that's quite a testimonial to his skill as a barber and the high level of customer service he provides.
All I had to do was show him a photo (on my phone) of my hair after my last haircut (which happened 1,000 miles away from here), and he duplicated it perfectly. Which is good, because I always have trouble explaining to a barber just how I want my hair cut.
And since we had that extra time, and there was no one else in the shop, we talked about the film, "The Tao Of Steve," and it's cultural significance to all guys named Steve.
I'm impressed with the man's barbering. Steve's going to be my regular barber here in Detroit now.”
