About Us
Thank you for your interest in the Neighborhood Club Thrift Shop – a Grosse Pointe gem providing funds for the Neighborhood Club and good, low-cost merchandise for customers.
In 1928 Marion Jarves Alger and a few friends hosted Grosse Pointe’s first rummage sale at the Neighborhood Club to generate funds to furnish its new community center. It was a huge success. This led to the establishment of the Neighborhood Club’s Thrift Shop to continue to offset Neighborhood Club program expenses.
Once you visit, you will see why it has stood the test of time. New items arrive every day!
